A few things to mention —
(1) I need more clients, y’all. There’s no easy way to say it, but I *need* more clients. I cannot survive without putting more butts in my chair. I’ve lost 4 clients recently to moves, 2 to money, and one didn’t give me a reason. This leaves huge gaps in my schedule. Please hype me up on your social media, to your friends, to your coworkers, to the barista at your favorite coffee shop, etc. Grab some cards and leave them in random places. I need HELP! Remember, you get $5 off your next service for every referral!
(2) I’m going to be clearing out my retail. Starting November 1st, EVERYTHING CURRENTLY ON THE SHELVES will be 20% off (I will not be restocking anything except cuticle oil until everything else is gone)! If you spend more than $100 on retail, I’ll throw in a $10 gift certificate (for you to use yourself, or gift to someone else).
(3) Also starting November 1st, for every $50 spent on gift certificates for someone else, I’ll give you $5 off your next service. Think about the upcoming holiday season, and grab some cuticle oils, lotions, files, home care kits, foot files, and more.
(4) That stuff out of the way, I also feel the need to remind you all that 5m early is on time; not pulling into the parking lot as your start time hits. You need time to wash your hands, use the restroom, hang your bag, and settle into the chair. If you are early, feel free to let me know; I may be ready for you! But please be prepared to hang in your car for a bit if I’m not.
(5) Your phone, keys, drink, jewelry, etc CANNOT be on my work table. I have places available to put those things (rings in the dish, drink on the stone, phone & keys in the plastic container, etc), but if you’re unsure of where to put them, just ask. And, please use the hooks to hang your purse & coat.
In reference to the title of this post, I absolutely love the ‘ber months… but with them come cold, dark, ice/snow, etc. Please allow extra time and patience to get to & from your appointments (and, really, anywhere you’re going). I will cancel if I can’t get out of my driveway safely, and I expect you to do the same.
Last, unrelated to nails, two driving safety requests <start rant> — (A) Please use your headlights at all times (yes, even during daylight hours); especially when it’s not sunny, & any time it’s raining. It really is much safer – not just to see in front you a little better, but for others to see you. (B) Don’t forget about your blinker — to be used not only when turning from one street to another, but also when changing lanes… and make sure you’re giving proper notice! Turning it on when already halfway into another lane is not proper notice. <end rant>
